Meg Mapili

Meg Mapili has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare field. Meg began their career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Native Village of Eyak in 2005 and Cordova Community Medical Center from 2005 to 2008. Meg then worked as an Emergency Department Technician at Providence Alaska Medical Center from 2008 to 2009. Meg continued their career as a Psychiatric Nursing Assistant at Alaska Psychiatric Institute from 2009 to 2010.

Meg Mapili then transitioned to the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC), where they held various roles. Meg worked as a Patient Service Assistant ICU/CCU from 2010 to 2012, providing basic patient care and assisting with daily activities. Meg then became a Licensed Practical Nurse at Hope Community Resources from 2011 to 2013, where they provided care for tracheostomy and ventilator-dependent patients.

In 2013, Meg Mapili joined the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) again, this time as a Full-time Registered Nurse in the CNO Department. Meg worked in different units including Ortho, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Pediatrics. Meg also served as a SWAT Nurse and assisted doctors with minor procedures.

From 2014 to 2018, Meg Mapili worked as an Intensive Care Nurse at the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC). Meg was responsible for caring for patients with mechanical ventilators, monitoring patient health status and labs, and assisting with trauma, codes, and rapid response situations. Meg also provided care to patients with respiratory issues and gained experience in sedation.

In 2018, Meg Mapili had a brief role as a Float Pool Registered Nurse at MatSu Regional Medical Center, where they worked in the ER, ICU, Medsurg, and Mother-Baby units. Meg assisted doctors with various procedures and monitored patient hemodynamics and mechanical ventilation.
