Tammy Henry MHA has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Tammy started their career as a Respiratory Therapist at Banner Health, where they focused on providing basic therapy treatments to adult and elderly patients. Tammy then moved on to Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services, where they worked with a variety of patient populations and gained experience in managing respiratory conditions, performing EKGs, and troubleshooting blood gas machines.

Tammy then joined The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, where they worked as a Registered Respiratory Therapist for seven years. During this time, they worked in multiple departments, including the Neonatal ICU, Pediatric ICU, Adult ICU, Emergency Room, and general adult and pediatric floors. Tammy gained expertise in operating various ventilators and respiratory equipment, administering aerosolized pharmacological agents, and ensuring patient safety.

After their time at UNMH, Tammy worked as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at a healthcare organization, where they further expanded their skills in emergency care and pediatric respiratory therapy.

Tammy also has experience working for the State of Alaska, DHSS, Division of Public Health as a Volunteer Administrative Assistant. In this role, they provided administrative support for the Medicare Information Office and received training to become a Certified Counselor for Medicare.

Most recently, Tammy has been working at the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium as a Health Benefits Specialist and Medical Claims Specialist. Tammy is responsible for processing medical claims, verifying health insurance coverage, and counseling clients on additional health resources.

Throughout their career, Tammy has consistently demonstrated a commitment to furthering their knowledge and skills in order to provide the best possible care to their patients.

Tammy Henry MHA has a diverse education history. Tammy began their education at the University of New Mexico-Gallup Campus from 1995 to 1998, where they studied Pre-Nursing Studies. Tammy then attended Pima Medical Institute from 2000 to 2002, earning an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Respiratory Care Therapy/Therapist.

In 2011, Tammy enrolled at Pima Medical Institute in Tucson and completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Respiratory Care Therapy/Therapist in 2013. Tammy continued their education at the University of Phoenix, where they obtained a Master's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from 2014 to 2015.

Currently, Tammy is pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management at the University of Phoenix, a program they started in 2016 and is anticipated to complete in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Tammy has obtained several certifications. Tammy became certified in Adult Cardiac Life Support in August 2019 through the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC). In April 2018, Tammy earned a Basic Life Support certification. Tammy also obtained a Medicare Counselor Certification from the State of Alaska Medicare Information Office in January 2018. In 2015, Tammy received a certification in Respiratory in Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
