Heather M. Plucinski

Heather M. Plucinski has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Heather M. started their career in 1994 at McKissock Inc., where they served as a Lead Sales Associate, focusing on sales and marketing.

In 1998, Plucinski joined Challenge Alaska as a Development Director, responsible for developing relationships with the board of directors and the business community to increase financial support for therapeutic recreation programs. Their role also involved directing fundraising campaigns and special events, volunteer recruitment, marketing, grant writing, and new program development. Heather M. held this position until 2010.

Plucinski then transitioned to Alaska Regional Hospital in 2011, where they held various roles. As the Business Development Director, they were part of the hospital's executive team, responsible for business development, public relations, and marketing. Heather M. also provided customer service to existing hospital business contracts and implemented wellness products to local employers. In addition, they worked as a Physician Liaison, building relationships with the medical community to market services at the hospital and addressing physician concerns and growth opportunities. Plucinski also served as the Special Services Manager, recruiting, training, and placing volunteers, managing the in-house hospital hotel, and fostering internships and practicums in the medical field through partnerships with the University of Alaska and the Anchorage School District.

Aside from their roles at Alaska Regional Hospital, Plucinski also owned and operated two businesses. In 2005, they started Sports Venue Marketing, and in 2007, they established Blue Devil Pup, LLC.

Heather M. Plucinski attended PennWest Edinboro from 1989 to 1990, where they focused their studies on psychology. Heather M. then transferred to East Carolina University and obtained their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Therapeutic Recreation/Recreational Therapy, completing their education there from 1990 to 1992.
