John Niles Wanamaker

John Niles Wanamaker is a seasoned investment professional and board member with extensive experience in both venture capital and healthcare. As the Managing Member of Alaska Venture Partners, LLC, since 2003, John focuses on seed and early-stage investments while providing advisory services for mature enterprises. Their leadership roles include serving on the Board of Trustees at Alaska Regional Hospital and as a member of the Board of Advisors for Alaska Communications. John has a strong background in innovation, having held the position of Chief Innovation Officer at the University of Alaska and contributing to the commercialization of university research. John Niles co-founded and led COGNITIVEDOC, LLC, which developed medical chatbots, and has been actively involved with various organizations, including Bristol Bay Development Fund and Alaska Pacific University. John holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Chicago and completed an Executive Program at Singularity University.
