Nelson Akinro

Nelson Akinro is a seasoned software engineer with a robust background in developing and leading high-impact software projects. Currently serving as Lead Software Engineer at ALAT by Wema since February 2022, Akinro spearheaded a significant card tokenization project to enhance payment security and compliance. Akinro previously contributed as a Software Engineer at ALAT, where system design and feature implementation notably improved user engagement and financial management. Prior experience includes a role as Software Developer at Venture Garden Group, focusing on developing scalable web applications and APIs to optimize payment processes. Akinro holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Obafemi Awolowo University and a Master of Science in Petroleum Geology/Sedimentology from the University of Ibadan.
