Martin Dunn

Martin Dunn is an experienced mission manager at Alba Orbital since October 2018, focusing on launch campaigns for PocketQube satellites. Prior to this role, Martin served as a mechanical engineer, specializing in structural design and environmental testing of satellite hardware. Martin holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, where research involved characterizing heterogeneous materials through experimental testing and finite element simulations. Additionally, Martin contributed to undergraduate education as a teaching assistant, covering mathematical modeling and engineering software instruction. Earlier experience includes a customer assistant role at Tesco, which enhanced Martin's communication and teamwork skills. Martin earned an MEng in Aero-Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, alongside foundational education at Bearsden Academy.
