Mario Alagoa

Mario Alagoa, DBA, currently serves as Global Assistant Treasurer at Albany International Corp. since February 2024, overseeing treasury management for a leading advanced textiles and materials processing company. Previously, Mario held the position of Director of Treasury Operations at WEX from 2018 to 2023, managing treasury operations for a fintech firm in the payments sector. From 2014 to 2018, Mario was the Global Treasury Operations & Innovations Lead at Hexcel Corporation, focusing on treasury operations within the aerospace industry. Prior roles include Director of Risk Management at Brightstar Corp. handling risk for a telecom company in Latin America and APAC (2012-2014), and Risk Manager at Nokia, where foreign exchange risk was managed for a global telecommunications leader (2000-2012). Mario holds a Doctor of Business Administration in Finance from Sacred Heart University, an MBA in International Business from the University of Connecticut, a Postgraduate Degree in Business Administration and Management from INDEG-ISCTE Executive Education, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Audit from Politécnico de Coimbra.
