Karen Newton

Karen Newton is an experienced administrative and human resources professional with a diverse background spanning over two decades in various roles. Currently serving as an Administrative Coordinator and Project Specialist at Albany Medical Center since June 2019, Karen supports the Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer. Previous positions include HR Business Partner at Mercy Health System of Maine, where key accomplishments involved onboarding new employees and facilitating education reimbursement, and Executive Assistant roles at St. Peter's Health Partners. Karen's extensive experience also includes managing the Executive Office suite at Mercy Health System of Maine and directing a co-ed residence hall at the University of New Hampshire. Karen holds a Master’s degree in Student Development in Higher Education and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of Maine.
