Charles Williams

Charles Williams serves as the Associate Dean for the College of Arts and Sciences and Professor of Visual Arts at Albany State University since August 2004. Throughout this tenure, Charles has notably created the Arthur and Sylvia Berry Fund for the Visual and Performing Arts. Additionally, Charles held the position of Interim Associate Dean and served as a Provost Fellow, where responsibilities included editing the faculty handbook. Prior experience includes teaching as an Adjunct Instructor at Florida State University, where courses focused on photography for non-art majors, and Tallahassee Community College, where instruction covered Freshman Composition, Argument and Persuasion, and Techniques of Drawing. Academic credentials include an MFA in Studio Art from Florida State University, a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from the University of South Florida, and an Associate of Arts from Hillsborough Community College.
