Michael Saylor

Michael Saylor is an experienced education leader currently serving as the Associate Secretary of Education for Educator Excellence at the Delaware Department of Education, where efforts are focused on strengthening the educator pipeline and enhancing student access to quality teaching. Saylor has a track record of leadership in educator preparation, having established significant initiatives such as the Governor’s Institute for School Leadership and the first statewide induction program for novice administrators. In addition to current responsibilities, Saylor contributes as a part-time faculty member at Albany State University, specializing in principal preparation programs. Previous roles include supervisory and consultancy positions across various educational institutions, with a strong foundation in assessment data and instructional support. Michael Saylor holds a PhD in Organizational Leadership from Alvernia University, alongside multiple master's degrees and a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.
