Daniel López is an experienced professional in the aviation industry, currently serving as Commercial Director at Albastar Airlines since November 2022, after holding the position of Senior Sales Manager. Previously, Daniel worked at Empty Leg from June 2007 to November 2022 as Business Development Manager and Sales Executive, while also serving as a Sales Executive at Privilege Style during the same timeframe. Earlier experience includes a role in Traffic Execution Management, Strategic Planning, and Routing at Spanair from October 2001 to June 2007. Daniel holds an MBA from EAE Business School and has training in Community Management from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.

Albastar Airlines
The Spanish airline Albastar was founded in 2009 by Italian and British entrepreneurs with the aim of providing on demand flight services in collaboration with major Spanish, Italian and European Tour Operators. On 30th July 2010, Albastar obtained its Air Operator Certificate (AOC-E-106) and the Commercial Operations licence to transport passengers and cargo. On the following day, the company’s first aircraft of the fleet, Boeing 737-400 EC-LAV, called “Pino D’Urso”, in honour of the founder of the airline, begins its flying activity. In 2014 the company establishes its operational base at Milan Malpensa Airport. Over the years and thanks to the collaboration with major Tour Operators specialising in pilgrimages and religious trips, Albastar has successfully established itself as the top European carrier for connections to Lourdes, with flights departing from over 45 European airports, and it is precisely from this destination that the airline began its scheduled air services in 2015. As member of AIRE, the Airlines International Representation in Europe, Albastar is actively involved in making the sector as efficient as possible. In 2019 Albastar has obtained the IOSA certification (International Operational Safety Audit) and became a member of IATA (International Air Transport Association): this means that the airline has reached the highest operational and safety standards in the airline industry. Albastar’s fleet consists of five Boeing 737-800 Next Generation, configured for 189 seats and one Boeing 737-400 Classic, configured for 170 seats in single class. Albastar connects the most important European airports with the most popular holiday destinations with short and medium-haul charter flights: Albastar offers on demand leisure, business and religious flights, but also offers scheduled flights to Lourdes and several Italian and European destinations.
