Dan D'Orlando

Director, US Government Programs at Albedo

Dan D'Orlando, MBA has extensive experience in program management, portfolio development, and engineering. Dan began their career in 2007 as an Electronics Engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, U.S. Navy, where they performed electro-magnetic field calibration of Navy vessels degaussing systems. In 2009, they joined Northrop Grumman as a Portfolio Analyst, where they conducted market research and portfolio assessment of the $11B business, advising strategic decisions around investment and resource allocation. Dan was later promoted to Portfolio Development Manager, where they were responsible for portfolio shaping strategy and MA&D initiatives. In addition, they were the Senior Program Manager, managing P&L of $30M+ technology development programs related to advanced DoD microelectronics. In 2021, Dan joined Orbital Insight as a Senior Program Manager and Director of Program Management, leading a global program management team executing >$20M Annual Contract Value of AI-powered geospatial analytics programs. Most recently, in 2023, they began working at Albedo as the Director, US Government Programs.

Dan D'Orlando holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business, which they obtained in 2014. Dan also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, which they obtained in 2007.
