Whitney Purnell currently serves as the Revenue Manager in the Business & Personal Tax Unit for Albemarle County, overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring compliance with local tax laws. Previous experience includes roles as a Business Revenue Auditor for the City of Fairfax, where responsibilities involved interpreting local ordinances and conducting audits, and as a Tax Compliance Officer for Loudoun County, focusing on resolving taxpayer issues and ensuring proper tax classification. Additional experience encompasses a position as a License Inspector II in Norfolk, an intern in Congressman Robert C. Scott's office, and a Graduate Assistant at Regent University. Whitney Purnell holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government from Virginia State University, a Master’s Degree in Government from Regent University, and is pursuing a Master of Science in Accounting at Montclair State University.
