Janaka Abeysinghe

Janaka Abeysinghe currently serves as a New Product Development Scientist at Albemarle Corporation, where responsibilities include designing and executing experiments for chemical reactions and collaborating with a cross-functional team for new product launches. Previous experience includes a role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Iowa, focusing on the development of solid-state metathesis reactions and material characterization, and a Teaching Assistant position at Sam Houston State University, where Janaka investigated solvent effects on specific molecular formations. Janaka also worked as a Research and Development Chemist at HAYCARB PLC and completed a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Physics at Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, culminating with a Doctor of Philosophy in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Iowa.
