Rick "Rico" Uribe has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Rick "Rico" started as the Commanding Officer at VMGR-352 in 2006 and then pursued further education at the US Army War College in 2008. Following that, they served as the Executive Assistant at the Joint Staff - J5 - Strategic Plans & Policy, where they provided valuable advice to the Vice Director. In 2011, they became the Deputy Director at the MAGTF Staff Training Program before being appointed as the Commanding Officer at Marine Aircraft Group 11 in 2013. Rick "Rico" then served as the Inspector General of the Marine Corps for a year starting in 2015, ensuring combat readiness and institutional integrity. From 2016 to 2017, they held the position of Deputy Commanding General at the Combined Joint Task Force - Operation INHERENT RESOLVE. Rick "Rico" continued to ascend the ranks, becoming the Deputy Commanding General of the I Marine Expeditionary Force in 2017 and the Director of Strategy, Plans & Policy at U.S. Southern Command in 2019. Currently, they hold the position of VP Aviation & MRO Services at Albers Aerospace.

Rick "Rico" Uribe holds a Master's degree in Military Strategic Studies from the US Army War College, which they obtained between 2008 and 2009. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Civil Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, completing their studies from 1987 to 1989. Uribe also attended the US Coast Guard Academy from 1983 to 1986, although specific degree or field of study information is not available for this period.
