Mike Choboter is a seasoned compliance professional with over 13 years of experience at the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) as a Senior Compliance Specialist, where expert knowledge of the Alberta Utilities Commission Rule 021 and provincial Micro-Generation Regulation is utilized to ensure compliance. Prior to AESO, Mike held various leadership roles at Cognera, including Team Lead for Rates and Revenue Assurance, where significant contributions included analyzing and implementing complex utility contracts and developing a comprehensive Revenue Assurance framework. Mike began the career at Cognera as a Retail Billing Analyst, managing the accuracy of invoices for municipal utility clients. Mike holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary.
