Ping-Kwan Keung is an experienced power system planning engineer with a distinguished career in both industry and research. Currently serving as Manager of Operations Planning at AESO since May 2011, Ping-Kwan has held multiple managerial roles overseeing standards, modeling, engineering services, and power system model management, with responsibilities including long-term planning for the Northeast Region and ensuring reliability standards compliance. Prior to this, Ping-Kwan worked as an Engineering Consultant at Siemens, specializing in power system simulation and transient stability models. Significant contributions to the robotics field were made as Co-Organiser of Robotique CRC Robotics, where Ping-Kwan facilitated a multidisciplinary competition for students. Academic foundations include a Master’s degree in Power System Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University, complemented by research assistant roles at McGill University and Université de Montréal.
