Don Rush

Don Rush is an experienced fire safety professional with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Sr. Fire Technical Advisor for the Government of Alberta since May 2025, previous roles include Manager at the Safety Codes Council from May 2020 to May 2025 and Fire Prevention Officer at Edmonton Fire Rescue Services from January 2016 to May 2020. Additional expertise was gained as a Fire Prevention Specialist at Public Works Government Services Canada and as a Fire & Life Safety Inspector/Investigator/Fire Fighter for the Department of National Defence. Early career experience includes operating at Koch Industries' Simplot Nitrogen Facility. Don Rush's educational background includes training at the Canadian Forces Fire Academy and Manitoba Emergency Services College.
