Jordan S. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. They began their career in 2011 as an Academic and Information Consultant at the University of Alberta Students' Union, where they provided accurate academic and campus information to students. In 2013, they transitioned to Alberta Health Services as a Laboratory Assistant, responsible for microbiological testing of drinking and recreational water.
In 2020, Jordan joined the Alberta Esports Association (AESA) and held various roles, including Internal Operations Lead and Human Resources Lead. Jordan S. has a diverse education history. In 2018 to 2019, they attended NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) and obtained a degree in Business Administration, with a focus on Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2013, Jordan studied at the University of Alberta, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biological Sciences and English. They began their educational journey at Archbishop Oscar Romero High School from 2006 to 2009.
In addition to their formal education, Jordan has obtained several certifications. In October 2021, they completed Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training from LivingWorks. In December 2020, they became a CPHR (Chartered Professional in Human Resources) Candidate certified by CPHR Alberta. In February 2020, Jordan received certification in Mental Health First Aid from the Mental Health Commission of Canada. Lastly, in November 2020, they obtained a certification in Psychological First Aid from the Canadian Red Cross.
