Larae Petrowsky

LaRae Petrowsky (Ellis) is an experienced professional in policy, advocacy, and election operations, currently serving as the Director of Policy and Advocacy at Alberta Municipalities since September 2025. Prior experience includes positions such as Director of Election Operations at Elections Alberta, Manager of Legislative Services at the Town of Stony Plain, and Senior Election Advisor at the Government of Alberta. LaRae has also held roles including Project Lead for Elections and Census at the City of Edmonton and Legislative Coordinator at the Town of Chestermere, where knowledge of legislative acts was applied. LaRae's career trajectory began with a municipal internship in Chestermere and includes earlier roles as a Travel Counsellor in tourism venues. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Lethbridge.
