Juan Carlos Hartasánchez is a Senior Advisor at ASG, where he advises clients on investment strategy, cross-border transactions, and dispute resolution across the globe. Mr. Hartasánchez was previously a Vice President in ASG’s Americas practice, where he supported clients in Mexico and across Latin America by identifying business opportunities, evaluating market and non-market risks, and establishing strategic partnerships.

Prior to joining ASG, Mr. Hartasánchez worked for Rêv Worldwide, a fintech company specializing in the design and development of payment solutions and financial products for the unbanked sector. In Mexico, Mr. Hartasánchez led business development efforts by managing cooperation among external parties such as governmental offices, banks, retailers, and NGOs, as well as internal worldwide business units. Additionally, he advised Mexican financial officials on regulatory design and framework for new financial products.

Mr. Hartasánchez previously worked as a Consultant for the Ministry of Finance of Mexico City as part of multidisciplinary team proposing more efficient mechanisms for property tax collection. He also has experience working in the financial sector in Mexico, both as an Analyst for a boutique investment bank and an intern for the Central Bank of Mexico.

Mr. Hartasánchez has appeared on Bloomberg, CNN Español, and Radio y Televisión Española (RTVE), and is regularly quoted on investment issues and Latin American politics in outlets including CNBC, The New York Times, and POLITICO.

He earned his M.B.A. at Harvard Business School, and his BSc. in Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autonómo de México (ITAM), with a specialization in Finance. Mr. Hartasánchez speaks fluent Spanish and is proficient in French.
