Sergio Ulloa

Sergio Ulloa is a Senior Advisor at ASG, where he works with health sector clients with a focus on the Americas. Dr. Ulloa brings over 40 years of experience as a medical specialist in rheumatology. He joins ASG from Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD) Mexico where he was head of Public Affairs, Communications, and Social Responsibility. Previously, he led a number of business units at Schering-Plough, including Clinical Research, Business Development, and Marketing, and also served as deputy general manager.

Dr. Ulloa founded the Mexican Council of Rheumatology and has served as the President of the Mexican College of Rheumatology. He has also served in leadership roles on the advisory boards of several foundations and societies focusing on medicine and health care systems, including as member of the Foundation Board of the Mexican Social Security Institute and as president of the Mexican Association of Applied Research and Technology. He has been awarded numerous honors for his medical research and philanthropic work.

Dr. Ulloa received his medical degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), with specialties in basic Immunology, Internal Medicine, and Rheumatology. He holds an MBA from the Pan American Institute of Top Management (IPADE) in Mexico City and has completed courses at the University of Virginia and INSEAD in Paris.
