A rural management professional from IRMA, he is passionate about working with the economically marginalized in their efforts to transform their lives and be self-reliant. His experience in the development sector extends to over 13 years. His areas of specialization include financial management, capacity building, business planning, fund raising, and enterprise promotion. He has the distinction of being involved in the creation of India’s first all-women cooperative dairy enterprise. He has been involved in evaluation and assessment, strategic and business planning, capacity building of different projects across India. He has provided consulting support to various organizations: a few of them are Ford Foundation, Sir Ratan Tata Trust, Japan Bank of International Cooperation and Oxfam-Australia. He has presented papers including: “Tribal Livelihoods – Emerging Initiatives” – in a National Seminar on Tribal Livelihoods and “Role of Cooperatives in Financial Inclusion” to College of Agricultural Banking, Reserve Bank of India. He has also prepared a case study for Indian School of Livelihoods Promotion, Basix on “Mulukanoor Women’s Mutually Aided Milk Producers Cooperative Union Limited – Analysis of Growth Path”.
