Senior RF Systems Engineer at Alcan Systems

Salim Özgün has over twelve years of work experience in the field of RF systems engineering. From 2018 to present, they have been working as a Senior RF Systems Engineer at ALCAN Systems GmbH, where they have introduced system engineering processes and performed detailed system analysis with an eye on phased array antennas, including new satellite systems (LEO, MEO, and GEO). salim has also prepared detailed technical project proposals, including product definition and product development planning chapters, in response to RFPs, and managed and coordinated several projects in the company. From 2006 to 2018, they worked at TUSAŞ - Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii A.Ş. / Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc. (TAI) in various roles, including Senior RF Engineer, ANKA Communication System IPT Leader, and RF Engineer. As Senior RF Engineer, they were the technical lead for the design and integration of communication system from concept to product, ANKA-S UAV platform. As ANKA Communication System IPT Leader, they coordinated the development of a 200 km range Ku band data link system from concept to production, designed a test system to characterize delay spread at various bands, and characterized and solved co-channel interference problem of 200km range Ku band data link system. As RF Engineer, they were responsible for RF System integration to the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAV), simulated antennas that are placed on the UAV with numerical EM simulation tools, decided the best place for various antennas, and designed various types of antennas such as slotted waveguide mono-pulse antenna. salim also attended NATO meetings (STANAG 7085).
