Haamid Ali

Haamid Ali has worked in a variety of roles since 2006. Haamid began their career at MobileComplete as the Director of Engineering, where they provided hands-on leadership in the design and development of mobile application technology. In 2008, they became the VP Engineering at Sufinapps, where they designed and implemented complex financial securities algorithms. From 2010 to 2013, they were the Senior Manager Engineering at @WalmartLabs, where they led key Agile teams working on the new Pangaea platform. In 2013, they became the Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer at Narvar. From 2014 to 2016, they were the Principal Engineer-dcde at Google. Haamid then moved to Macys.com and Bloomingdales.com as the Senior Director of Search Engineering, leading the engineering teams innovating in the areas of machine learning, natural language search and big data. From 2017 to 2019, they were the Senior Director of Machine Learning at Macy's. During this time, they were also the Founder & CEO of Cresance Inc, Startx Founder at StartX., and Alchemist Founder at Alchemist Accelerator.

Haamid Ali completed their Masters in Computer Science and Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in 1996. Haamid then went on to pursue an MS in Scientific Computing Computational Mathematics at Stanford University, which they completed in 1998.
