Sophie Alcorn has a long and impressive work experience. In 2015, they founded and became the CEO of Alcorn Immigration Law, where they are a Certified Specialist Attorney in Immigration and Nationality Law, State of California Board of Legal Specialization. In 2019, they became a Contributor to TechCrunch, writing on U.S. visas and green cards, and authoring the "Dear Sophie" immigration column. In 2020, they became a Board Member and Chairperson of the Board for the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce, a Founding Member for Dreamers // Doers, a Founder for Community for Global Innovation, a Council Member for The Digital Economist, and a Business Mentor for the Alchemist Accelerator. In 2021, they became a Startup Mentor for 500 Startups, and in 2022 they became a Member for Founders Network. Sophie also hosts a podcast for Immigration Law for Tech Startups.

Sophie Alcorn began their education at Stanford University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations in 2005. Sophie then attended Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, receiving their Doctor of Law (J.D.) in 2008. In 2018, they obtained a Certified Specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law from the State Bar of California.
