🎯 Ian Milliken

Ian Milliken has a diverse work experience spanning from 2009 to 2023. 🎯 Ian is currently working as a Principal Product Designer & Engineer at Alchemy Global Solutions since January 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as a Product Designer & Engineer at the same company from December 2020 to January 2023.

Before joining Alchemy Global Solutions, Ian was self-employed as a Freelance Designer, specializing in UI, UX, Front End, and Branding from May 2018 onwards.

From September 2018 to December 2020, Ian worked as a UI UX Manager at QA Ltd, where they designed, built, and maintained various workflow-driven and data visualization apps. 🎯 Ian also played a key role in driving digital transformation by upgrading legacy MVC apps to a superior SPA architecture.

In 2017, Ian worked as a Lead UI Designer at Chorck, where they were responsible for the frontend planning, development, and implementation of core system functionality and PWA features. 🎯 Ian also designed successful onboarding experiences for new customers.

Ian's experience also includes working as a Developer at 20-80 Solutions from November 2016 to January 2017. 🎯 Ian audited customer sites to identify and resolve issues, collaborated with developers to improve modularity and abstraction, and reduced technical debt across the core CMS system.

From July 2013 to August 2016, Ian served as a Senior UI Designer at Existent, where they collaborated with senior developers to design and implement content publishing tools. 🎯 Ian also played a role in recruiting new team members.

Prior to that, Ian worked as the Chief Design Officer at Jalapeño Design Ltd from January 2012 to February 2013. 🎯 Ian provided visual design services across various platforms, contributed to frontend development, and formed partnerships with local businesses to expand services.

Ian started their career as a Web Designer at Dwarf Web Design from August 2011 to January 2012. 🎯 Ian designed e-commerce platforms and appointment booking sites, consulted with customers to understand their requirements, and utilized HTML, CSS, ActionScript, PHP, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

In 2009, Ian began their professional journey as a Freelance Artist, offering graphic design services.

Ian Milliken attended Nottingham Trent University from 2008 to 2011. 🎯 Ian pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Multimedia, specializing in Animation, Web, and Film.
