Paul Deffley

Paul Deffley serves as the UK Chief Medical Officer at Alcidion since October 2021, where the focus is on utilizing technology to enhance clinical environments and patient care. In addition, Paul has been the Primary Care Specialty Lead for the NIHR Clinical Research Network since January 2015, contributing to primary care research initiatives. As a General Practitioner at Trinity Medical Center since April 2011, and previously as the CCIO and Medical Director at East Sussex CCG from May 2020 to November 2021, Paul played a key role in implementing the Integrated Care System in East Sussex. Additionally, Paul held the position of Clinical Director at Practice Unbound from April 2014 to May 2020, promoting efficiency in General Practice. Paul also served as the Clinical Lead for the RCGP Workload Observatory from January 2019 to March 2020, providing leadership in the development of workload metrics. Education was completed at King Edwards VI school in Lichfield from 1991 to 1998.
