Alco Energy Rotterdam is a young biorefinery that was started in 2010 in Europoort Rotterdam. It is one of the largest producers of bioethanol, animal feed and CO₂ in Europe.

The Rotterdam factory is part of Alcogroup, one of the largest bioethanol producer in Europe, and Vanden Avenne, a specialized grain trader. As Alco Energy Rotterdam, we are a sustainable organization that have as a goal to be climate-neutral by 2030.

The factory in the Europoort has approximately 120 employees. 

Alco Energy makes a solid contribution to sustainable energy use in transport and protein feed.

The Operations and Coordination team at Alco Energy Rotterdam B.V. ensures the smooth and efficient functioning of the biorefinery. This team manages key operational aspects including ICT migration and strategy, process operations, staff training, logistics coordination, maintenance, and reliability and integrity of equipment, all while prioritizing sustainability and working towards the company's climate-neutral goals.
