Andres Rivera Silva

Andres Rivera Silva has over 29 years of work experience in various companies. Andres began their career at GlaxoSmithKline as a Maintenance Technician, where they provided technical support and performed various qualifications and validations. Later, they joined AstraZeneca as a Process Automation Engineer, supporting system life cycle activities and documentation. At Eli Lilly and Company, they served as a Senior Automation Engineer, focusing on DeltaV control system upgrades and mentoring junior engineers. Andres then worked at Zimmer and Pfizer as a Senior CSV Consultant and a Senior Utilities Engineer Consultant, respectively, taking on responsibilities such as developing validation plans and performing incident investigations. Currently, Andres is employed at Alcon as an Automation Engineer Principal.

Andres Rivera Silva completed their education at two different universities. From 1987 to 1991, they obtained a B.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology from the Universidad de Puerto Rico. Later, from 1995 to 2003, they obtained a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidad del Turabo. Additionally, they obtained the EIT certification from CIAPR in 2003.
