Balaji Gunasekaran

Balaji Gunasekaran is a seasoned professional in packaging engineering and automation, currently serving as Sr. Manager of Packaging Engineering and Life Cycle Management at Alcon since July 2016. Balaji manages teams to drive continuous improvement projects, oversees packaging specifications, and leads the implementation of artwork and BOM changes, while also spearheading projects to procure and validate primary component molds. Previously, Balaji held various roles, including Project Engineer in Electrical & Automation at Nestle Infant Nutrition/Gerber Life Insurance, where significant contributions included managing capital projects to enhance production efficiency and leading a major upgrade of fire alarm systems. Balaji’s early experience includes positions as a Process Controls Engineer and Controls Engineer, with foundational roles in research and teaching during academic tenure at The University of Texas at Arlington, where a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering was obtained.
