Jeroen Bastemeijer

Jeroen Bastemeijer is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the ophthalmic industry, currently serving as VP and General Manager at Alcon Canada since September 2023. Previously, Jeroen held the position of Global Marketing Head for Retina at Novartis from November 2021 to October 2023, overseeing a significant marketing function with a focus on commercialization for products exceeding $2 billion. Jeroen's tenure at Alcon from May 2005 to November 2021 included various leadership roles such as Surgical Head for the Europe Cluster, where responsibility encompassed full P&L management across 10+ countries, and EMEA Head of Technical & Clinical Services. Earlier roles involved leading surgical business units in the NORDICS and managing marketing strategies for the glaucoma portfolio.
