Liying Zhang has extensive work experience in the field of biostatistics. Liying began their career as a physician at Internal Medicine in Hedong Hospital from 1994 to 1996. Liying then worked as a biostatistician and PhD researcher at Central Hospital of University (CHU) from 1998 to 2004. Subsequently, they took on the role of biostatistician at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre from 2004 to 2008. Liying briefly worked as a consultant at JPPC (Joint Policy & Planning Committee) at Ontario Hospital Association in 2008. From 2008 to 2011, Liying served as a biostatistician at INC Research. Liying then joined Amgen as a Sr. Statistician from 2011 to 2019. Most recently, Liying held the position of Principal Biostatistician at Bristol Myers Squibb from 2019 to 2020, and currently at Alcon from 2021.
Liying Zhang earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Internal Medicine from Tianjin Medical University in China from 1991 to 1994. Liying then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Public Health at the University of Liege in Belgium from 1996 to 1997. Following this, they completed a second MSc degree in Biostatistics at Limburgs Universitair Centrum (LUC) in Belgium from 1997 to 1998. Finally, Liying Zhang obtained a Ph.D. degree in Biostatistics from the University of Liege (Belgium) from 1998 to 2002.
