Richard Thibault

Richard Thibault is an experienced professional in the fields of bioengineering and biomedical engineering, currently serving as QC Manager - Metrology at Alcon since August 2014. In this role, Richard has successfully managed projects for outsourcing and insourcing product lines, leading to significant cost savings and the timely execution of projects through collaboration with cross-functional teams. Previous positions include Product Engineer II and Contract Engineer, with a strong focus on lifecycle management, compliance with ISO standards, and root cause analysis. Richard's earlier work includes a postdoctoral research associate role at Texas Heart Institute and research experiences during graduate studies at Rice University and Johns Hopkins University, culminating in a Ph.D. from Rice University. Richard’s academic foundation includes multiple degrees in bioengineering and biomedical engineering, alongside practical research in tissue engineering and materials science.
