Shaw Newman

Shaw Newman currently serves as the Growth Lead at Alcove since July 2024 and is also a Board Member for the Michigan Rowing Association. Shaw has a background in carbon markets and policy, having worked as a Carbon Markets and Policy Specialist and Manager of Product Management at Mast Reforestation until July 2024. Prior experience includes roles at BeZero Carbon as a Product Management Intern, and as a Senior Product Manager and Product Manager at POLITICO from February 2019 to August 2021. Shaw started a career in entrepreneurship as a Venture for America Fellow from January 2018 to February 2020. Earlier work includes a Product Manager position at Pivvit and a Research Assistant role at the University of Michigan. Shaw holds a Master’s degree in International Political Economy from The London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Michigan.
