Elena Zara

Elena Zara has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Elena began their career as an Outsource Project Manager at Ericsson in 2009. Elena then joined IBM in 2011, where they worked as a Consultant to Senior Consultant in the Human Capital department before becoming a Manager, Human Capital, HCM Cloud, Workday. At IBM, they spearheaded the development of the first Workday practice in IBM GBS Romania and launched a new competency arm for the future SaaS Workday team. In 2016, Elena joined Veeam Software as the Manager EMEA & APAC, HR Technology, where they assessed new global HR tools for implementation. Elena then moved on to LeasePlan in 2018, serving as the Global Manager, HR Technology and later as the Global Director, HR Technology, Analytics & Innovation. Currently, Elena works at Ayvens as the Global Director, HR Technology and Analytics.

Elena Zara holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Software Engineering from Kingston University, which they obtained from 2010 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Automatic Control and Computers from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, which they pursued from 2006 to 2010. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Workday Compensation and Workday HCM from Workday in 2015, Fusion Applications: HCM Compensation, Oracle Fusion: HCM Benefits Implementation, and Fusion Applications: HCM Global Human Resources from Oracle, Agile Foundation Certification - DSDM Atern from DSDM Consortium in 2011, TOEFL from ETS in 2010, PHP/MySQL Advance Programmer from Infoacademy Bucharest in 2009, CISCO Networking Courses: CCNA 1,2 from CISCO in 2007, and the Cambridge University CAE diploma in English from Cambridge in 2005.
