Julie Burns

Julie Burns, LCSW, PPSC, currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Program Officer at Aldea since September 2019, overseeing comprehensive management of behavioral health and social services programs with a staff of over 85. Julie's extensive experience includes roles as Senior Director at Los Rios Community College District and Health Educator at Kaiser Permanente. Prior positions also encompass Probation Division Manager at the County of Yolo, where Julie managed care services for youth at the Yolo County Juvenile Detention Facility, and Supervising Clinician at California Forensic Medical Group, providing mental health services to justice-involved clients. Additional leadership experience includes serving as Director of Residential Services (Interim) at Phoenix House California and Program Director for in-custody substance use disorder treatment programs. Julie holds a Master of Social Work from San Jose State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Chico.
