Mark Sher

Mark Sher currently serves as the Head of Credit for Commercial Real Estate, as well as for Asset Finance, Dealer Funding, and Invoice Finance at Aldermore Bank since October 2022, where responsibilities include enhancing the performance of four underwriting teams. With over 20 years of experience in assessing credit risk across various asset classes and industries, Mark brings valuable expertise in navigating industry-specific risks within the current UK market. Prior to this role, Mark was the Provincial Head of Credit for the Eastern and Western Cape at FNB South Africa, managing multiple credit teams across diverse banking divisions. Early career experience includes roles at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, beginning as a Trainee Accountant. Mark's educational qualifications include a Chartered Accountant designation and a series of degrees from the University of Cape Town in disciplines including Chemistry and Pharmacology.
