Maarten Walmagh

Maarten Walmagh is a seasoned professional in the life sciences and biopharmaceutical industries, currently serving as the Business Development Manager for Europe at Aldevron since April 2023. Prior to this role, Maarten worked at Cytiva as a Biotech Account Manager, providing innovative solutions to researchers and pharmaceutical partners. Maarten's experience includes account management at GE Healthcare, where responsibilities included managing industrial life sciences accounts in Belgium. Additionally, Maarten has held key project leadership positions, including at 3M, where the focus was on establishing a BioPharma Training Center, and at Ghent University, managing a European collaboration project on glycosylation reactions. Maarten has also conducted research at KU Leuven and Universität Würzburg, holding a PhD in Bioscience Engineering with a focus on combating multi-drug resistant bacterial infections. Maarten's educational background includes multiple language courses and degrees in bioengineering from KU Leuven.
