Fred E. Washington

Fred E. Washington, who came on board in June 2022, came out of retirement to join Aldine ISD. Washington served for 27 years before being named vice president and director of athletics in 2018 at Prairie View A&M University, where he served as a member of the President’s Cabinet. Washington was responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight for an 18-sport NCAA Division 1 FCS intercollegiate athletics program. He oversaw the planning, fiscal affairs, staffing, fundraising and promotions, athletics facilities, and regulatory compliance for intercollegiate athletics. Washington retired in 2019 from the university.
