Yong Wang

Yong Wang is a highly experienced scientist specializing in antibody discovery and engineering, currently serving as a Staff Scientist at Alector since February 2020, where responsibilities include managing the display platform and leading research projects from antigen generation to candidate characterization. Previously, as a Principal Scientist at LakePharma, Inc. from January 2015 to February 2020, Yong Wang established antibody engineering group capabilities and built phage and yeast display technology platforms. Earlier roles included Senior Scientist and Research Scientist at Stanford University, focusing on HCV neutralization antibodies and contributing to the development of novel antibodies through advanced selection techniques. Yong Wang also held postdoctoral researcher positions at UCSF and Shanghaigenomics, concentrating on tumor-related antibodies and yeast surface display approaches. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Peking Union Medical College and master's and bachelor's degrees from Shanxi Medical University.
