Ammar Nawaz

Ammar Nawaz, LL.M, P.Eng. serves as the Vice President of Alectra Energy Solutions, where responsibilities include managing the commercial Distributed Energy Resources business, developing new opportunities, and establishing competitive energy solutions for a diverse clientele. With experience on the Board of Directors for Energy Storage Canada, Ammar contributes to the advancement of the energy storage industry through advocacy and stakeholder education. Prior roles at Hydro One encompassed strategy and corporate development, technical services, and field operations, highlighting expertise in strategic growth, operational efficiency, and the commissioning of transmission projects. Ammar holds a Master of Laws in Energy & Infrastructure Law from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick.
