Candy Magaña is a mission-driven leader and capacity builder dedicated to shaping a more equitable and inclusive healthcare ecosystem. In their current role as Director of Health Equity Innovation at Humana, Inc., they build health equity capacity for over 65,000 employees and lead a dynamic team focused on developing resources and programming for quality patient experiences. With a Master's in Public Administration from NYU and a Bachelor's in Public Health from Johns Hopkins, Candy has previously held management positions at various organizations, including Blue Shield of California and RubiconMD. They also serve as a board member for the National Center for Families Learning and have experience as an adjunct assistant professor in family and community medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Candy resides in Columbus, Ohio, and approaches their work with a passion rooted in personal experience growing up in an underserved community.
