Martin Shapiro

Martin Shapiro, MD MBA, currently serves in New Ventures at Aledade, Inc. and as a Medical Staff Physician at the University of California, San Francisco. Shapiro is also actively engaged with UCSF Innovation Ventures as a Catalyst Digital Health Advisor, supporting the advancement of translational-stage projects in various healthcare technologies. Previous experience includes a Principal role at Asset Management Ventures, focusing on investments in early-stage digital health and life sciences, and a Primary Care Innovation Fellowship at the American Academy of Family Physicians. Shapiro has held positions such as Senior Venture Architect at BCG Digital Ventures, Digital Health Product Strategist at Sidebench, and Convergence Science Initiative – Cancer Michelson Fellow at the University of Southern California. Additionally, Shapiro co-founded Speranza Health and contributed to Operation ASHA as a Technology Pilot Implementation Intern. Educational credentials include an M.D. from the Keck School of Medicine of USC, an MBA from USC Marshall School of Business, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Yale University.
