Amy McAfee

Amy McAfee has extensive experience in social work, particularly in healthcare settings supporting seriously ill adults and their families. Currently a Social Worker at Cigna Healthcare since June 2022, McAfee has previously worked at Alegis Care and Aspire Health, Inc., focusing on empathy, education, resource linkage, and goals of care conversations. Prior roles include serving as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at UAB Medicine's Department of Psychiatry and supporting patients in a palliative care in-patient unit. McAfee's background also includes leading a team at Hope Hospice, Inc., where emotional support and resource linkage were central to patient care. McAfee holds a Master's degree in Social Work and a Bachelor's degree in Music from The University of Alabama.
