Didier Toubia has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Didier is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Aleph Farms, a cellular agriculture company focused on sustainable and cruelty-free animal product production. Since its founding in 2017, Aleph Farms has achieved significant milestones, including unveiling the world's first cultivated thin-cut beef steak in 2018, the world's first cultivated ribeye steak in 2021, and cultivated collagen in 2022.
In addition to their role at Aleph Farms, Toubia has also co-founded and served as Chairman of Yeap, a company founded in 2018, and BlueTree Technologies, a company founded in 2017.
Prior to their entrepreneurial ventures, Toubia gained experience in the medical industry. Didier held the position of Consultant for Special Projects at Luneau Technology, a global leader in Ophthalmology and Optical equipment. During their time there, Toubia led the merger of two US subsidiaries and collaborated with the CEO of the French subsidiary to lead a turnaround of an $18M business.
Toubia's earlier experience includes serving as the Chief Executive Officer of NLT SPINE, an Israeli-based company specializing in minimal-invasive spine surgery technology. Didier successfully grew the company from 1 to over 30 employees. Didier also founded and served on the board of IceCure Medical, a public medical device company that provided office-based treatment for tumors in the Women's Health space.
Prior to their work in the medical industry, Toubia held various roles at Surgivision, where they co-founded the company, served as VP of Business Development, and was a member of the board. Surgivision focused on developing and marketing electro-optical devices for neurosurgery and ENT. During their tenure, Toubia achieved milestones such as raising over $7M in funding, building a comprehensive marketing strategy, and securing strategic alliances.
Toubia's career began with their role as Co-Founder and COO of Maya Software Technologies, where they also held a board position. Throughout their career, Toubia has demonstrated their expertise in business development, strategic consulting, finance, and corporate leadership.
Didier Toubia pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with their Master of Engineering degree in Biology, Biotechnology, and Food Engineering from AgroSup Dijon, which they obtained from 1990 to 1995. In 1995 to 1996, they attended ESCP Business School and obtained a Specialized Master's degree in Accounting and Consulting. Following this, from 2003 to 2004, Didier enrolled in the Kellogg-Recanati Executive MBA Program at the Coller School of Management, where they specialized in High-Tech Management. Lastly, in 2023, they furthered their education by completing an Agribusiness Seminar at Harvard Business School Executive Education, concentrating on Business Administration and Management.
