David Nix

VP of Engineering at Alereon

David Nix has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. David began their career at NEC America as a Software Engineer, where they worked on system testing and the development of commercially deployed ATM switches. David then moved on to Motorola, where they focused on software development for CT2 base stations and PACS micro-cells, specifically in the data link layer and connection control. David later joined AT&T Wireless as a Software Team Lead, overseeing the development of software for a wireless local loop solution. At AMD, they served as a Software Team Lead, leading the design and development of firmware for wireless local loop and ADSL chipsets. David then worked at Agere Systems as a Software Applications Manager, where they worked with customers to produce reference designs and solutions using network processor chips. Finally, they joined Alereon as the VP of Engineering, leading the software and engineering team in the development and production of wireless solutions using UWB spectrum for military and commercial markets, with a focus on IoT.

David Nix attended Abilene Christian University from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science.
