Jennifer Doerscheln is an accomplished Transition Coordinator with extensive experience in developing and implementing transition programs for students with autism. At the Alexander Leigh Center for Autism since June 2016, Jennifer has created community-based job training experiences, developed vocational training programs for junior high and high school students, and provided training for parents and staff on transition concepts. Prior to this role, Jennifer worked as a Transition Teacher at Lake Forest High School, where responsibilities included creating transition services, coordinating planning meetings, and supervising teaching assistants. Jennifer's career began at NSSED as a Vocational Coordinator, followed by a role as a Special Education Teacher at Mannheim District 83. Jennifer holds a Transition Specialist Certificate and advanced degrees in Special Education from Illinois State University and Northeastern Illinois University.
