Michelle Copes

Michelle Smothers-Barnes is an experienced EHS consultant and specialist with a diverse background in environmental health and safety. Currently serving as CEO and Consultant at SAFEN Sound, Inc since April 1999, Michelle has also worked as a Field Service Specialist for Alexander & Schmidt and an EH&S Consultant for Oseco since 2011. With previous roles at John Crane, MESA Products, Inc, and several other companies, Michelle has demonstrated a commitment to improving safety practices across various industries. Education includes a Bachelor's in Safety Management and Environmental Management from Northeastern State University, along with other relevant degrees and certifications. Recently, Michelle became certified to teach Mental Health First Aid.
