Francois van Aarde

Francois Van Aarde serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Discovery Corporate and Employee Benefits since January 2017, where responsibilities include managing a transformative employee benefits solution that integrates behavior-driven retirement funds and Group Risk benefits. This initiative features a world-first retirement fund designed to incentivize sound financial decision-making. With extensive experience at Alexander Forbes from 1997 to present, Francois has held multiple leadership roles, including Managing Director of Operations and Administration, and Head of Fund Administration, focusing on the administration of pension and provident funds. Francois holds a B Compt Honns degree in Accounting and Taxation from the University of the Free State, earned between 1983 and 1986.
